Case studyGebhardt-Stahl Poland
LED lighting in the production and warehouse hall, integrated with a photovoltaic installation, meeting the requirements for precise steel processing.
Gebhardt-Stahl Polska, a manufacturer of specialized reinforcement profiles for PVC doors and windows, as well as ventilation components, entrusted us with the implementation of LED lighting in their production and warehouse hall. The company processes approximately 25 000 tons of steel annually, necessitating lighting that meets the stringent requirements for light intensity essential for precise steel processing. Furthermore, we installed a photovoltaic system to improve the building’s energy efficiency.
Production and warehouse halls
Steel production and processing
High hall, required light intensity for precise steel processing
Challenges
High light intensity tailored to the steel processing procedure
Installing luminaires at a great height with a difficult access
Integrating lighting with the photovoltaic installation
Carrying out the installation without disrupting ongoing production processes
Gebhardt-Stahl Polska required LED lighting that would provide the necessary light intensity for precise steel processing. The lighting had to be installed at significant heights in difficult-to-access areas, and the installation needed to be completed without interrupting the plant’s operations. Additionally, the lighting system had to be integrated with the photovoltaic installation to minimize energy consumption from the grid.

Lighting Concept
We installed modern LED luminaires in a lighting system that meets the requirements for precise steel processing. The project used Highbay, Industrial 6.0, and Skylight 4.0 luminaires, which provide adequate light intensity at great heights, significantly improving working conditions. The LED lighting was integrated with the photovoltaic installation, further reducing energy costs.
Highbay LED
Dedicated high-efficiency LED luminaire, ideal for lighting large areas at height.
Photovoltaic installation:
Integrated photovoltaic system supplying energy to the hall’s lighting, generating 50,000 kWh annually. Ensures energy savings and supports the facility’s sustainable development.
Scope of cooperation
Our cooperation began with an inventory of the existing lighting system and an energy audit. The key goal was to identify areas where lighting efficiency could be increased and energy consumption optimized. During the audit, attention was drawn to the difficult access to luminaires due to the great height of the hall and stored materials, which required the use of reliable LED solutions.
Then we proceeded with the installation of modern LED luminaires and the integration of the lighting system with the photovoltaic installation. Luminaires were selected to suit the specifics of steel processing work, providing the required light intensity. The lighting installation was carried out without disrupting the plant’s daily operations, which was a key client requirement. Thanks to the integrated photovoltaic system, the plant significantly reduced energy consumption from the grid and lowered operational costs.
