Safran Transmission Systems Poland
Case Study Safran
Modernization of lighting in the production facilities of Safran Transmission Systems with a wireless control system. The project involved the replacement of over 2,100 LED luminaires, resulting in a 20% reduction in energy consumption and improved working conditions.
At Safran Transmission Systems, a leader in the aviation industry, we conducted a comprehensive modernization of the lighting system. The project included replacing luminaires in existing buildings and equipping new facilities with energy-efficient LED lighting. As part of the collaboration, we implemented a wireless control system, allowing remote management of lighting parameters, significantly improving energy efficiency.

Aviation industry
Maintaining existing cable routes, working in a 24-hour system
Challenges
Modernizing lighting using existing cable routes.
Implementing a wireless control system.
Adjusting lighting parameters to specific production requirements.
The main challenge was replacing the lighting in existing buildings without the possibility of changing cable routes and providing remote control of luminaires. The investor also expected improved working comfort and optimization of energy consumption.
Lighting Concept
In new buildings, we installed around 600 LED luminaires with Helvar system control. In the modernized hall, approximately 1,500 LED luminaires with Casambi modules were installed, enabling wireless control of lighting parameters. This system allows for individual lighting adjustment, which improved energy efficiency and work comfort. Additionally, we used luminaires with a low glare index and high IP rating, such as Ultima, Industrial, and Highbay.
Highbay LED
High-power luminaires used in production halls with high ceilings, providing excellent illumination of workspaces.
Ultima LED
High-power luminaires with a low glare index, ideal for demanding production conditions.
Scope of cooperation
We began the cooperation with an inventory and audit of the existing lighting installation, which allowed for precise identification of the client’s needs. The audit showed that the cable routes were in good condition, enabling a 1:1 replacement of luminaires without interfering with the electrical installation.
After completing the audit, we implemented the Casambi wireless control system, which allows remote management of lighting and adjustment of parameters to working conditions. The luminaires were mounted on existing cable routes, minimizing disruptions to the plant’s operations.
Implementation results:
annual savings in electricity costs
reduction in CO2 emissions annually
improvement in light intensity in designated areas
