Lighting with Intelligent Control for the European Market Leader in Sanitary Products
Geberit is a company specializing in sanitary technology. Currently, it owns 29 factories worldwide and a network of warehouses, including those in Poland, where we have installed new lighting with intelligent control. One of the main values of the company is sustainable development, which is implemented by offering solutions to reduce water consumption, energy-saving pipelines, and modern logistics systems. Geberit sought to reduce electricity consumption in its warehouses in Włocławek while significantly enhancing employee work comfort. After assessing the on-site situation and discussing with decision-makers, we proposed a lighting solution tailored to the company’s needs and subsequently installed it in the warehouses, redistribution area, and technical storage.
In the warehouses, redistribution area, and technical storage
Long corridors and installation height
12 meters
Operational characteristics: Crossdock with wide light distribution and an illumination level of 300 lx
Challenges:
Long corridors and installation height
High temperatures up to 60°C
Remote-controlled lights
Crossdock with wide light distribution and an illumination level of 300 lx
The client’s requirement was to replace the lights with more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products that could be remotely controlled. The client had specific expectations and a vision, to which we adapted the lights. They had to meet the PN-EN standard and be powerful enough to adequately illuminate the large area from a height. One of the rooms was a high-temperature warehouse, so the applied lights had to be heat-resistant accordingly. Long corridors with a height of 5 meters and storage areas with an installation height of 12 meters were also challenging. In the redistribution area, lighting with wide light distribution and higher illumination levels of 300 lx was necessary.

Lighting design concept
To reduce this value, Ultima 2.0 lights with a high luminous efficacy of 140 lm/W and the ability to operate at temperatures up to 65°C were installed in the rooms. Additionally, INDUSTRIAL 4.0 lights with various optics to control light distribution and Highbay 3.0 lights with an optical system that allows use at greater heights were applied. The lights were designed by us considering the existing cable routes, supplemented with the DALI control system, which automatically adjusts the illumination level when employees are present in the room. The modernization was carried out during ongoing operations, allowing for the continuation of current projects.
Highbay 3.0
An excellent alternative to sodium vapor lamps in high-bay areas. It offers impressive light efficiency of up to 180 lm/W and a wide power range from 78W to 228W, with a guarantee of up to 10 years.
Ultima 2.0 140 lm/W, zu 65° C do 70oC, 170 lm/W
140 lm/W, up to 65°C It is an excellent alternative to traditional fluorescent lamps with 2x58W. Available in power ranges from 17W to an impressive 97W, it features a light efficiency of up to 180 lm/W.
INDUSTRIAL 4.0 140 lm/W, zu 65° C
For the lighting concept, we developed a detailed financial analysis of the investment, which showed, among other things, an estimated return on investment in 1.5 years and a 65% cost reduction

Scope of cooperation:
Luminaires with wide light distribution, high performance, and low installation costs. In the warehouses, redistribution areas, and technical storage, Luxon LED conducted a detailed analysis of the lighting and calculated the savings.
Based on this, appropriate lights were selected to meet the client’s requirements – reducing energy consumption, increasing illumination levels, and reducing CO2 emissions. Before modernization, the client consumed 24 kWh of energy.
Implementation effects
CO2 emissions reduced
Annual reduction in allocated power for lighting
Energy consumption reduced from 24 kWh to approximately 2 kWh
