Modern LED Lighting in the Offset Hall at Werner Kenkel Sp. z o.o.
In the modernization of lighting in the production hall, ensuring appropriate working conditions while simultaneously reducing electricity consumption played a crucial role. The installation of modern LED lighting also required integration into the existing control system. Additionally, the investor desired a long-term warranty for the luminaires. The client’s condition was that the installation should be carried out without interrupting production, meaning the installation had to be performed “during ongoing operations.
Manufacturing of cardboard packaging

Installation without interrupting work
Adjustment of light intensity at all workstations and traffic routes
Challenges:
Installation without interrupting work
Increasing intensity while reducing costs
Integration of the lighting system into the existing system
Intensity adjusted to the workplace

Lighting design concept
The lighting in the production hall, especially at the workstations, must meet the comfort requirements of the employees in the performance of their duties. This has a direct impact on productivity and the well-being of the staff. To this end, an audit was conducted, based on which LED luminaires Industrial 6.0 with customized parameters were proposed. As a result, the average illumination of the work surfaces was improved while maintaining the high luminous efficiency of the lamps.
Additionally, the lighting system around the building was renewed. Cordoba 3.0 luminaires were ideally suited for this area.
Industraila 6.0
An excellent alternative to traditional fluorescent lamps with 2x58W. Available in power ranges from 17W to an impressive 97W, it features a light efficiency of up to 180 lm/W.
Corodoba 3.0
An excellent alternative to sodium vapor lamps in the high-bay area. It offers impressive light efficiency of up to 180 lm/W and a wide power range from 78W to 228W, with a warranty of up to 10 years.
Intelligent Lighting Control
A control system with reflectance sensors and integration into the central emergency lighting monitoring was used.
LED investment analysis
For the lighting design concept, we developed a detailed financial analysis of the investment, which among other things showed an estimated return on investment of 2 years and a cost reduction of 81%.
Scope of Cooperation:
The comprehensive measures at Werner Kenkel Sp. z o.o. included the inspection, planning, and installation of modern LED lighting. Over 400 Industrial 6.0 luminaires and 27 Cordoba 3.0 luminaires were installed in the halls.
Since the company focuses on modern solutions, it was necessary during the modernization to integrate the lighting system into the existing system. For this purpose, a control system with reflectance sensors and integration into the central emergency lighting monitoring was used. This creates specific lighting moods for workplaces while simultaneously reducing electricity consumption.
Implementation effects
Less CO2 emissions
Reduction in annual electricity consumption
Total capital return on investment in 2 years
